Sex Ed at Frisky U

Since 2005 we have hosted classes in our Durham store. Presented by our own sex educators, they are presented in a lecture format, require no class participation, involve no live demonstrations, and are open to couples or singles of all orientations. Our selection of topics reflect the questions we are asked on a daily basis by our guests, and they are all carefully crafted to provide useful information that you can put into practice immediately in your own sex life.

Our classes are always fun, and we encourage people to bring friends and co-workers and make it part of a great evening out. We also can be booked for private classes for large groups. Please email us at info@friskystore.com or call the store for more information.

Frisky Business Boutique continues our ongoing series of sex ed classes for adventurous adults. This year we will be offering nine great classes. All of our programs are great introductions to their respective topics, but with great nitty-gritty info that you will be able to take home and put right to use!

The Five Styles of Dominance: An Introduction & Discovery

Topping is fun and enjoyable, but Dominance is full of complexities. So how exactly does one take a submissive underhand and lovingly guide them, if one has never done so before? How does one go about creating a lasting and exciting M/s or D/s relationship without asking your eager submissive/slave for (too many) hints and tips, and thus ruin the powerful aura of being a firm and confident Dominant who is comfortably in charge? How do you take a new submissive with a BDSM checklist clutched in their hand and decide what to do next?

In this workshop, Auburn will cover several interactive styles of Dominance and their related dynamic elements. Learn about the Caretaker Dominant (AKA the Daddy or Nanny), the Corporal Dominant, the Ruling Dominant and more. We'll discuss the key underlying desires of the submissive and Dominant in each style, scenes, punishment, and service. We'll talk about what clues can help you discover what each submissive most responds to and yearns for, as well as how to uncover your own natural Dominant style that works for You.

While this workshop is primarily designed for new Dominants and switches, anyone interested in discovering and enhancing their own D/s style is welcome to attend. Many submissives who have attended this class have told us they learned a lot of valuable information about how to better understand themselves and their Dominant. Or if they are seeking a partner, they now feel better able to communicate what they find most appealing in a D/s relationship and why.

All classes are presented in our private classroom at our store. Class size is limited, so we do recommend advance ticket purchase. Tickets for classes are $15 each and are available at the store. Attendees will receive a 10% discount on any purchase made the evening of the class. Please arrive on time for your class. Classes are typically an hour and a half to two hours long, though length may vary based on audience enthusiasm!

We do not have a public restroom in the store, so please plan accordingly.

Want a private class?

We offer private classes for groups. If you would like any of the listed programs presented for your group, we would be happy to host you in our private classroom. We can schedule very flexibly, though we request as much advance notice as possible to accommodate your request.

Private classes are $150 for up to 15 people. All attendees will get a 10% discount for any purchases made the day of the class.

About our instructors:

Jace Kerrin, MS, LMBT has been creating and presenting classes for Frisky U since the program’s launch in 2005. Incorporating sexual knowledge courses into the Boutique's offerings has been one of her greatest passions. Jace comes from a background in theater, counseling, and health education. She cut her teeth while working with the National AIDS Hotline, Planned Parenthood, and the Women's Center of Orange County. Jace has been an independent sex educator since 1995. From 2004 until 2009 she also worked at Frisky Business Boutique, where in addition to developing our adult sex ed offerings, she was instrumental in advancing our mission of education, sexual health and greater well-being through working with guests and training staff.

Jace has a master's degree from UNC and a diploma in therapeutic massage from Wake Tech.

Auburn Landry lives in Raleigh, NC with her male submissive partner of over five years, Devon DeLandry. Known for her sensual, erotic and lovingly sadistic style, Auburn enjoys teaching others about healthy power exchange relationships and the sensual art of Female Domination, as well as many other alternative sex topics.
