I don't know what it says about the world we're living in but today is the anniversary of a horrific event that pales in comparison to events that came later. On this day back in 1993, the World Trade Center was bombed. 1042 people were injured while only 6 people died in the blast. I think it's all too easy nowadays to overlook and forget about the tragic loss suffered in that attack, given that less than nine years later we'd multiply those figures by 6 for the injuries and by nearly 500 for the deaths. To find another disaster that scales up at that rate, WWI left over 16 million dead. It was the War To End All Wars... and 30 years later WWII sent over 73 million to their graves. <sigh> This game of one-upmanship has got to stop... In fact, this topic is so depressing that I'm not even going to attempt to segue into a sexually related matter. Instead, I'm going to drop the topic and jump into something completely different.
I don't pretend to be an expert on all things sexual, but I thought I'd at least heard of all the most unusual practices... until just this last week I learned of the following tidbit: In the Philippines, before the Spaniards forced them to convert to Catholicism, the men used to pierce their penis with a rod. To have intercourse, while they were still soft, they would gently insert one side of the rod, sliding it in with the limp penis and the other side of the rod. Becoming erect, they would be unable to withdraw their penis until they were limp again. Our selection of toys for your online shopping pleasure continues to improve and grow. We've built up to just shy of 1350 items in our Shop section. To answer publicly a question that several customers have asked me in person in the store - No, MAXX is not closed, closing, or even considering closing. If you haven't been by the brick and mortar store lately, MAXX Adult Emporium used to have movie posters hanging on the outside of the store where they could be seen by passersby. We've recently taken them down and that's gotten people speculating on our imminent demise, when the fact is quite the contrary. Taking those movie posters down was simply the first step in a minor face-lift for the front of the store. The next step has gotten a bit delayed due to the extended cold weather we've been having recently, but never fear it is still on the schedule and we're not going anywhere!
Who usually sets the pace when you're getting romantic with your lover? My suggestion for the week is to change it up and let the other person take charge. Let them say when to go fast and when to slow things down, what toys to use and what positions to get into.
