On this day back in 1770, the Boston Massacre took place in front of the State House when a crowd of civilians was fired upon by British soldiers. Five of those civilians died. This was a major event in the steps leading up to the American Revolution.
Sometimes it just takes a few people standing up for what they believe in to make a huge difference. Others see their example and gain courage and are willing to stand up too. There's a quote I once read that goes something like "Out of every 100 men, 10 shouldn't be there in the first place, 80 will leave at the first sign of resistance, 9 will try and fail, but the remaining 1, that 1 is special and will inspire all the rest to come back and succeed." I love that quote. Don't know who first said it, but it rings very true in my ears.

I always close my weekly post with a suggestion for the week. This one is a bit more powerful than most. Inspire your lover to 'be the 1'. What cause do they believe in? What fires them up and gets them to want to make a difference in the world? Support them in making a stand and taking action for that cause. You be the rock that they can lean on while they're standing tall and leading others in that cause. Together you'll make a huge difference in the world.
